We opened our doors on Tuesday, October 3rd, for Pierce County’s only adult respite care for individuals with memory loss and their caregivers. Although only one of the two participants expected actually came, he and his wife had a good experience and a positive response to our services. We had lots of activities, a good lunch, a restful afternoon, and many volunteers. We are hoping that next week brings us even more participants and their families. Spread the word. Among Friends is open every Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. It’s a great service for our community.
